Vittorio Bigari
Vittorio Bigari (1692 – 1776) was an Italian painter of the late-Baroque period.
==Biography==
He was active in his native Bologna, where he was a pupil of Antonio Dardani. He painted frescoes in the Basilica of San Domenico in Bologna, as well as the cupola of the church of the Madonna della Guardia, and the gallery of the Ranuzzi Palace in Bologna. He also painted in the Palazzo Aldrovandi. He also painted for the Madonna del Soccorso. The Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna includes two paintings by him: ''Convito di Baldassarre''〔http://www.pinacotecabologna.it/collezione/percorsi/percorsoEsp_A.php?IDSala=30&IDOpera=33〕 and ''Salomone incensa gli idoli''.〔http://www.pinacotecabologna.it/collezione/percorsi/percorsoEsp_A.php?IDSala=30&IDOpera=36〕 Followers or pupils of Bigari include Francesco Gadi,〔(Annali della città di Bologna dalle sua origine ), 1796, Volume 8, page 738.〕 Francesco Chiozzi, and Emilio Manfredi.〔(Guida del forestiere per la città di Bologna e suoi sobborghi ) By Girolamo Bianconi, page 511.〕
